The morning star.

Proof that the night has ended, and a sign that morning has not yet arrived.
The star that wakes first and keeps watch between darkness and light.

The morning star is often misunderstood.
It belongs neither fully to the night nor to the rising sun, standing instead at the boundary.
Yet because of that very ambiguity, the day passes gently into being.

To shine first in an hour no one sees.
To fulfill your role without applause, without recognition.
That is courage.
Quiet, and therefore stronger.

If you, right now, are hesitating between an ending and a beginning—
if you are in a state not yet easy to name, that’s alright.
The time of the morning star is always brief, but never in vain.

So you, too, shine there just a little longer.
