In the hour when the whole world sleeps,
after midnight’s silence cuts through the air
and the blurred curtain of darkness
swallows every sound the world once carried—
the stillness that fills my room
turns each breath into something loud enough to count.
I feel as though I’m floating alone
inside this vast hush,
an astray wanderer in the universe.

Outside the window, everything is deep blue.
Under a sky where even starlight has grown faint,
while the world lies dreaming,
I remain awake,
enduring this lonely stretch of time by myself.
Each time the cold air brushes my skin,
the truth of being alone sinks in deeper.
Some nameless sorrow rises slowly
from the farthest corner of my heart
and sometimes gathers quietly along my eyes.

With no sign of life anywhere,
my existence feels as small
as if it has vanished completely,
and the thought that this solitude might go on forever
tightens my chest.
Why am I the only one awake at this hour?
This deep stillness feels like a punishment
meant only for me,
and at times, it truly hurts.

But then—very faintly…
there, at the far edge of the horizon,
a soft pink and violet glow
begins to seep through the darkness,
as though the world, which had held its breath,
is cautiously opening its eyes again.

So quietly, barely audible,
a single bird begins to sing,
and from afar, a low hum of a car rolls through.
As the light grows stronger inch by inch,
the shadows of the dark retreat,
and even the heaviness that pressed upon me
starts to soften.

Ah… dawn is nearing its end.
The edge of this lonely hour
finally reveals its exit.
With every returning color outside the window,
with every stretch and stir of the waking world,
a small wave rises inside me too.

Soon sunlight will touch the glass,
and footsteps of people will echo again.
Once I step back into the bustling day,
I won’t be alone anymore.
Voices waiting for me,
stories to share,
warm glances to meet—

The lonely hours of dawn
thin out like fading magic,
making room for anticipation and gentle excitement.
It felt long only because I was alone,
but now, a day to be lived with others
is just about to begin.
That radiant promise lifts me to my feet.

At the edge of dawn,
I rise to greet a morning
that bears the quiet name of hope.
