I am here—just a fragment of this vast world,
so tiny, so ordinary,
nothing more than a single grain among billions of sand.

Sometimes I’m swept far away by the waves,
and on some days I scatter in the sharp wind,
wandering without knowing where I’m headed.

Trampled beneath countless footsteps,
I often felt my existence growing even smaller.
When the whole world looked like great rocks and solid mountain ranges,
I felt like a fragile little particle standing alone.

My whispers were lost in the wind,
my small movements unnoticed by anyone.
And sometimes, loneliness washed over me like a wave—
as if I were the only one left in this wide, wide world.

But you know, even for me,
there comes a moment that feels like magic.
It’s when the warm, radiant sunlight
falls from the high, faraway sky
and seeps into every corner of me.

In that moment, to my surprise,
a soft, tender light blooms inside me
and begins to shine, shy but bright.
My true colors, my own patterns,
reveal themselves most beautifully under the sunlight.

Only then do I finally see myself clearly.
Ah, so I am someone who can shine like this.
And I realize that all the countless small, seemingly insignificant beings in this world
carry their own light as well when they stand under the sun.

We sparkle as we look toward one another—
the tiny grains of sand that once endured loneliness for so long
each discovering the other’s glow
and realizing that we were never truly alone.

Our small flickers gather
to form a great golden river,
to shape a dazzling shoreline,
to shimmer like a Milky Way across the desert,
filling this vast world with beauty.

Each tiny glimmer may seem faint,
but when we shine together,
we become a message of hope—
brighter and stronger than any single great light.

So to every being out there
who feels too small, too insignificant,
I want to say this:
You are not alone.
Inside you lives a light that belongs only to you.
It’s okay if you haven’t yet found it.
Someday, when warm sunlight falls upon you,
your light will bloom in its most beautiful form.

Even if you feel tired or worn down,
as long as you try not to lose your small shimmer,
you will surely meet others who shine with you—
and together, you will create the most beautiful scenery in the world.

We may all be small,
but each of us carries
a shining promise capable of brightening the world.
